Croppings

The bricklayer’s Arms was in between Jiggers bank roundabout and the park and ride carpark, this aria was known as The Croppings, I don’t know which building the pub was in (see map).

George Johnson was the first Beer House Keeper of the Bricklayer’s Arms in the 1861 census, but the beer house was not named.

George Johnson was buried on the 25th of May 1867 at Dawley-Parva, this is possibly is St Luke’s church Doseley.

George Johnson’s wife Harriet in 1868 put an ad in the Wellington Journal - Saturday 12th December 1868 for the Bricklayer’s Arms to be let or sold.
